30 Days of Music: A Writing Challenge
(Hat Tip to SadisticYellowBird)

Rules: For each day, post a piece of writing (short story, poem, etc.) based on a song. Essentially, write a story about the feelings the song evokes, the song’s concept, one (or more) of the song lyrics, or something else that inspires you from the song. For every post, link a YouTube video of the song above the writing. You may either fully follow the list or substitute songs of your own choosing. I would recommend listening to the song of the day and reviewing the lyrics (if there are any) before dismissing any song. With that said, here’s the list:

1. Björk – I’ve Seen It All

2. Nellie McKay – Change the World

3. Kanye West ft. Chris Martin – Homecoming

4. Liz Phair – Stratford-on-Guy

5. Zager and Evans – In the Year 2525

6. Missy Elliott – The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)

7. Louis Armstrong – What a Wonderful World
